However, there are often many occasions in industrial sites that have a greater impact on the actuator, such as: the ambient temperature is too high or too low, toxic and harmful environment, etc., which will lead to inconvenient on-site operation of the actuator or a high failure rate of the electrical control part. For this purpose, our company can make split electric actuators.

 

Compared with traditional actuators, this split-type actuator has no changes in its installation dimensions and system wiring, and is highly interchangeable; by adjusting the "zero" and "full" potentiometers, it can output a 4-20mA DC signal . The difference is that the position transmitter is sent to the positioning board for processing by a special split connecting cable.

 

The actuator and the control unit are connected separately through a special connecting cable. Since the protection level of the connecting cable is IP67, it effectively solves the problem of sealing after split connection, and both ends of the connecting cable are fixed with plug-in terminals, which is easy to disassemble and assemble.

 

The control part is far away from the work site, and there is no signal attenuation within 100m of the dedicated connecting cable, so it can work normally.

 

Since most components are incorporated into the control unit, and the control part is installed in a location with relatively good environmental conditions, the reliability of the operation of electronic components is greatly improved, and the failure rate is also significantly reduced.

 

The separation of the control unit makes maintenance and debugging extremely convenient, especially for actuators installed in harsh and dangerous environments. Maintenance personnel only need to operate the actuator, adjust the valve position, switch limit, etc. at the installation position. This It not only simplifies maintenance and debugging work and reduces workload, but also ensures the safety of maintenance personnel.

Debugging and installation considerations

1. An actuator with an output arm. The output arm and the output shaft are connected by a toothed spline. The starting position of the output arm can be determined by oneself, which is convenient and flexible.

2. Before installing the actuator, conduct a visual inspection to confirm whether there is any damage, and carefully check whether the model number, full stroke time, output torque, rated voltage and grounding wire method marked on the nameplate meet the usage requirements.

3. After inspection, perform wiring. Before putting it into operation, first check whether the steering direction of the motor is consistent with the opening and closing directions of the valve: After debugging the whole machine, be sure to cover the box cover at any time and tighten the screws to maintain sealing performance. Especially at the cable outlet, good sealing performance must be maintained, otherwise dust and water vapor will enter the box, causing electrical circuit failure and making the mechanism unable to work normally.

4. The old grease should be flushed out every time it is overhauled, and new high-temperature extreme pressure No. 2 carp-based grease should be refilled or replaced every 2-3 years.

5. Damaged or aging sealing rings should be replaced during every overhaul. Avoid damaging the sealing surface during assembly and disassembly. If there is any damage or damage, try to repair or replace it. During assembly, a thin layer of anti-rust grease should be applied to the contact surface to help with sealing, rust prevention and future maintenance.

6. For places with large vibration and high frequency, fasteners and terminals should be regularly checked for looseness and tightened in time. If the actuator is not in use, it should be placed in a clean and dry room. If it is left for a long time, special attention should be paid to moisture-proof to avoid rust and damage to electrical components.

7. The mechanical transmission of Bernard electric actuator has a self-locking function in structure, so the motor has no mechanical brake. Moreover, the motor has good sealing, so when disassembling and inspecting the motor, pay attention to applying sealant to the connection port to ensure the original sealing and rainproof and dustproof performance.

8. The input and output signal lines must use twisted pairs with shielding layers to prevent on-site electromagnetic interference from affecting the actuator circuit and the work of the host computer. Precautions for use

(1) The vulnerable parts of the split actuator are installed in the control unit, so the performance requirements of the control unit are relatively high. The working environment temperature of the modified control unit is lower, but inspections should be stepped up to ensure reliable work.

(2) The split actuator uses the control part and the actuator part to separate and connect them with a cable in the middle. Due to the problem of transmission signal attenuation, the effective length of the separation cable must be considered.

(3) Since the transmission signal between the control part and the actuator part is weak, the problem of signal anti-interference needs to be considered.
