
The Multiple Rotary Electric Valve Actuator, known as Z-type, is applicable to the valves for the linear motion of the disc,such as gate valves, cut-off valve, gate, water gate valve and so on.This product is used for the opening,closing or regulation of valves. For the multi-turn electric actuators, there are such types as outdoor type, flameproof type, integrated switching type, flameproof and integrated switching type, as well as flameproof and integrated regulation type. Performance Parameters of Electric Actuator
1. Handwheel (Handle) Direction For the rotation direction of actuator handwheel (handle) (facing the handwheel) and output shaft (facing the valve along the axis of output shaft), the clockwise direction is off and the counter-clockwise direction is on. The direction should be marked on the handwheel (handle).
2. Indicating Mechanism of Position During the functioning of the electric actuator, the indicating mechanism indicates ON/OFF and is adjustable, which represents the actual position deviation of the actuator within ± 5% range.
3. Manually-operated and Power-driven Switchover The manually-operated and power-driven switchover of the actuator should be easy, flexible and reliable. When the actuator is power-driven, the handwheel can’t rotate. The actuator is provided with the microswitch for manually-operated and power-driven switchover. When the actuator is manually operated, its control-driven power can be cut off to guarantee the operator’s safety.

Structural Composition
Z-series electric actuators consists of motor, reducer, torque controller, stroke controller, opening indicator, manual-operated and power-driven switchover mechanism, handwheel and electric part. The outdoor type is sealed with the round detent and O-rings; the flameproof type is the same as the outdoor type in hermetically-sealed construction. Besides, the flameproof-surface structure is added to the actuator. Its drive principle goes as shown in Figure 3.

Installation and Disassembly
1. There are unprincipled requirements for installing form of this electric actuator, but the motor is in a horizontal state. The cover of the electrical cabinet in the horizontal or vertical status is the recommended installing form, which can make for lubrication, commissioning, maintenance and manual operation;
2. During the installation it should be guaranteed that there is the space needed by the servicing inspector in disassembling different components.
3. The axial clearance of castellated coupling with the valve should not be less than 1 ~ 2mm;
4. When it is used for the rising-stem valves, it should be checked whether the extension of the valve rod is consistent with the length of valve guard.
5. When disassembly is required, you should manually rotate the handwheel for some circles first, and then start disassembly in the status that the valve is slightly open.
6. Prior to the installation, it should be checked whether the technical parameters of nameplate are consistent with those of the installation environment.
7. Open the junction box and unscrew the gland nut of cable entry with a wrench to connect the cable with the terminal in the junction box firmly. After that, close the cover of the junction box and tighten the clamping screws.

Ordering Information
1. Please write the model clearly in the expressive method of model. The torque needed in open and close directions must separately be specified. If not, the goods shall be supplied as provided by us.
2. Please write the connection size standards, valve-rod diameter and its extension elongation clearly. If the connection size is not consistent with that in this Manual, please solve it through consultation with us.
3. The clockwise rotation of the handwheel means the closing of the valve. If different from this, please explain it without fail.
4. The threads of thrust-type valve-stem nuts are generally machined by users. We only reserve a pre-drilled hole. If they need our machining, please provide the thread sizes.
5. We can provide the electric actuators of other revolving speeds as required by the user.
