WORKING PRINCIPLE

Opening process: Compressed air enters the pneumatic actuator cylinder, pushing the piston to move, driving the valve stem and gate to rise, and the valve opens.

 

Closing process: The pneumatic actuator vents in the reverse direction (or spring resets), and the gate moves down to cut off the medium. The blade design can scrape off the valve seat residue to keep the sealing surface clean.

 

Adjustment function: By controlling the air source pressure through the positioner, the gate opening can be adjusted and the flow rate can be accurately controlled (valve support is required).

 

BASIC COMPOSITION

Valve body

Usually adopt casting or welding structure, the material can be cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, etc., to meet the needs of different media. The flow channel is designed as straight-through type to reduce the flow resistance of the medium and avoid blockage.

 

Gate

Blade-like design with sharp edges to cut through viscous media (such as mud, pulp) or solid particles to prevent jamming. The material is wear-resistant and the surface may be hardened (such as surfacing with hard alloy)

 

Sealed structure

Pneumatic actuators

Single-acting (spring reset): open/closed when ventilated, spring reset when air is cut off, suitable for fail-safe position requirements. Double-acting: two-way control of ventilation, air source is required to drive the switch, no automatic reset function.

 

Valve stem

The valve stem is designed to be lifting, connected to the gate, and driven by a pneumatic actuator to make linear motion. A packing seal (such as graphite packing) is used to prevent the medium from leaking.
