What is an explosion?
The prerequisite for causing an explosion is that the explosive substance must be mixed with oxygen to a certain extent and cause a chemical reaction under appropriate ignition conditions. If the reaction speed exceeds the speed of sound, it is defined as an explosion. Explosive mixtures that have accumulated to a certain extent explode suddenly and cause destructive effects in the form of blast waves.

What is an explosion-proof?
Any one of the above-mentioned three conditions is restricted to occur, and explosion can be prevented. In many application sites, the presence of explosive substances and oxygen is unavoidable, so ignition sources must be limited. Electrical equipment is a potential source of ignition. When the machine is running, it will cause the surface temperature to rise, static discharge or electric sparks caused by instantaneous current. In terms of design, electrical equipment avoids excessive surface temperature and sparks during its operation. Therefore, explosion-proof electrical equipment will not be a potential source of ignition.

Why is there an explosion?
Explosion is the sudden change of matter from one state to another state through physical or chemical changes, and the release of huge energy. The energy released at a rapid speed will cause the surrounding objects to suffer violent impact and damage. the Three conditions must be met for an explosion: explosive substance, oxygen, and ignition source. Objectively, many industrial sites meet the explosion conditions. When the mixed concentration of explosive substances and oxygen is within the explosion limit range, if there is an explosive source, an explosion will occur

Preventing the generation of explosion must be considered from the above three necessary conditions, and limiting one of the necessary conditions limits the generation of explosion. Electrical equipment is also a potential source of ignition. When the machine is running, it will cause the surface temperature to rise, electrostatic discharge or electric sparks caused by instantaneous current. From the design point of view, flameproof electrical equipment can seal the ignited explosive mixture in a casing, which is particularly strong, can withstand the explosion pressure of the internal explosive mixture, and prevent the explosion of the explosive mixture outside the casing. Therefore, explosion-proof electrical equipment can be prevented from becoming a potential source of ignition.

The explosion-proof electric actuator produced by our company is designed to prevent internal sparks or explosion carriers from contacting the outside through the explosion-proof surface of the shell. Classification of explosion-proof electrical equipment
Intrinsically safe electrical equipment: The electrical equipment whose all circuits are intrinsically safe circuits is called intrinsically safe electrical equipment. The so-called intrinsically safe circuit refers to a circuit that cannot ignite explosive mixtures under specified conditions, under normal operation or under specified fault conditions. The mark of this type of equipment is "i" (subdivided into ia and ib).
Increased safety electrical equipment: High-temperature point electrical equipment that does not produce arcs, sparks or may ignite explosive mixtures under normal operation, and measures are taken in its structure to increase the degree of safety so as to avoid arcs, sparks or possible ignition of explosive mixtures under normal or specified overload conditions electrical equipment, known as increased safety electrical equipment. This type of equipment is marked "e".
Explosion-proofelectrical equipment: Electrical equipment with explosion-proof enclosures is called explosion-proof electrical equipment. The explosion-proof enclosure can not only withstand the explosion pressure generated by the detonation of the internal mixed gas, but also prevent the internal explosion flame and high-temperature gas from escaping from the explosion-proof gap to ignite the explosive mixture around the enclosure. This type of equipment is marked "d".
