Multi-turn electric actuators are used to control valves that rotate 360 degrees, such as gate valves, globe valves, diaphragm valves, etc. Multi-turn actuators can also be configured with different gearboxes and can be turned into part-turn actuators.
Confirm the action mode of the valve
Electric actuators are mainly divided into two types: on-off type and modulating type. On-off type actuators are used for switch action, while modulating type actuators can be used to adjust the opening of a valve to achieve continuous control of its flow pressure, etc.
Confirm the torque
Torque is an important parameter that determines how large a valve the electric actuator can push. If the valve is larger or heavier and requires a larger torque to drive, then an electric actuator with a larger torque should be selected.
Confirm the power supply
Most electric actuators can receive AC power, but there are also special models of DC power. At the same time, the voltage and current must be considered.
Confirm the signal
Common signal input methods include analog signals, switch signals, pulse signals, etc. It is necessary to consider the type of signal that the control system can provide in order to select a suitable electric actuator.
Confirm the ambient temperature
The ambient temperature is also a factor that needs to be considered. If the ambient temperature is high or low, it is necessary to select an electric actuator that can adapt to extreme environments.
Confirm whether over-torque protection is required
It is necessary to consider whether the over-torque protection function is required to prevent the electric actuator from causing damage to the valve or itself when the torque is too large.
