It has simple structure, convenient manufacturing, low cost and reliable operation. The sealing performance of floating ball valve is related to fluid pressure. All other conditions being equal, generally speaking, the higher the pressure, the easier it is to seal. However, it should be considered whether the valve seat material can withstand the load transmitted to it by the ball, because the force generated by the fluid pressure on the ball will all be transmitted to the seat behind the valve. In addition, for larger-sized floating ball valves, when the pressure is high, the operating torque increases, and the ball's self-weight is also large. The pressure distribution generated by the self-weight on the sealing surface of the valve seat is uneven. Generally speaking, the pressure distribution along the sealing surface of the valve seat is uneven. The pressure in the half circle on the horizontal surface of the channel diameter is small, and the pressure in the lower half circle is large, resulting in uneven wear of the valve seat and leakage. Therefore, floating ball valves are generally suitable for valves ≤PN100 and ≤DN150.
