The valve body is directly connected to the pipeline (or equipment) one by one and forms the part of the medium flow channel. The valve body bears the working pressure of the medium. The structure of the valve body can be divided into straight-through type, straight-flow type and angle type. A straight-through valve body is a valve body in which the inlet and outlet axes of the valve coincide with or are parallel to each other.
A straight-flow valve body is a valve body in which the inlet and outlet axes of the valve are in a straight line, and the valve stem axis is at an oblique angle to the valve body passage axis; an angle valve body is a valve body in which the inlet and outlet axes of the valve are perpendicular to each other.
For ball valves, plug valves and other types of valves, there are also three-way, four-way and other structural types of valve bodies depending on the purpose of the valve on the pipeline. The so-called three-way valve body is a valve body with three passage directions.
